COSMIC DEBT

Cosmic Debt is a video installation that explores the paradoxical space where self-destruction meets self-preservation through the call to build a more just future. Extracted individuals warped through algorithmic manipulations become lost in an anomic world where the worst crimes of history are repeating themselves. Political suicides of spectacle are awash in the noise of an ever-present information flow where everything is always already an image. In a moment when intense hopelessness and unshakable political resolve meet through the act of self immolation, some hope to repay a debt. How do we escape a future that feels inevitable and grim?
